Mr. Atle Skjekkeland is Vice President for AIIM International. He is responsible for the association's 65,000 strong and growing community, training courses, membership, standards, chapters, IT, and Web. Mr. Skjekkeland is the architect and driving force behind AIIM's Certificate programs, which have had 15,000+ course attendees over the last 4 years. Mr. Skjekkeland holds a Master's degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and has 15+ years of experience working within IT.
Dr. Bill Bridges is Director of the National Archives and Records Administration's National Records Management Training Program (NRMTP). The NRMTP provides records management training to federal employees and contractors in the Washington, D.C. area and in all nine of NARA's regional offices across the country. Dr. Bridges received his PhD in History from the University of Nebraska in 2002, has worked in the instructional design and training development industry since 1998, and has worked for NARA since February 2009.
Ms. Linda Bigsby is a team lead in the FBI Records Management Application Unit. Her focus is electronic records, collaboration with the IT community, and electronic records conversion programs. She successfully led an effort to integrate Records Management Processes into the IT Life-cycle management processes improving dialogue with the IT community and increasing compliance with records requirements. Additionally, she developed and led a program to digitize over 100M records. Ms. Bigsby is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Archives and Records Administration through San Jose State University.
Ms. Cheryl Smith, Vice President and Senior RIM consultant for NetSmith Inc., Frederick, MD, has over 30 years experience in records and information management, quality assurance, and program management, supporting various Federal agencies and programs. Ms. Smith has worked for eight years with the U.S. Government Accountability Office as a key member of their enterprise electronic records management system (ERMS) team, and assisted with development of their simplified big-bucket retention schedules. She is a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and has an MS in Library Science from Drexel University. She is a longtime member of the Metro Maryland ARMA Chapter and serves on the board of the National Capital Chapter of AIIM.
Mr. Bob Mahler brings 16 years of Project Management experience with 12 years in the U.S. Army and is a Special Forces Combat Veteran who also has 10 years expertise in the telecommunications field. Mr Mahler consults at the Department of Homeland Security HQ as a Tactical Wireless Project Lead, the focus of his team's efforts is to reduce the DHS O&M spending, which is currently $100M annually for the upkeep of their tactical radio networks. He is an active volunteer for the PMIWDC (DC chapter of PMI) and has recently been elected to the Chapter Board as the VP of Marketing and Public Relations, 2011.
